Our client specialises in the increasingly hi tech area of Intelligent Identification' which means coding, labeling and product traceability technology for products that end up on our retail shelves. They represent world class hardware and locally develop and patent their own complimentary software and networking solutions. Their innovative marketing, combined with industry leading solutions and superb after sales support have made them the preferred supplier to many of Australia's largest FMCG manufacturing organisations.

This unique opportunity for an experienced Account Manager/BDM to join this growing busy team in Sydneys Northern suburbs will put you at the forefront of intelligent solutions for the industry. Working in conjunction with the Sales team with access to technical advisors and product specialists you will learn the ropes from a variety of talented and experienced colleagues including the existing Account Manager/BDM as he is transitioning through to retirement. Spending time with him will give you a wealth of knowledge regarding this very well established territory. Reporting directly to the NSW Sales Manager, as an experienced Account Manager/BDM, you will manage the large and active client base and develop new business opportunities both within that client base and new prospects.

Your duties as an Account Manager/BDM will include:

  • Identify new prospects for the companys products both within existing clients and new prospects
  • Strengthening the existing client base through a solution selling approach
  • Maximizing customer penetration and sales revenue in designated regions
  • Maintaining a current and high level working knowledge of industry developments and emerging technologies.

As a successful Account Manager/BDM you will possess:

  • Engineering, IT or technical understanding/experience or relevant tertiary education
  • A successful and demonstrable sales track record selling technical products or services
  • Proven ability to manage and grow an existing client base
  • A passion for building excellent and enduring customer relationships
  • Professional presentation skills, both written & verbal
