The BDM Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists for a results driven BDM with proven experience in delivering optimal sales outcomes in B2B sales. Reporting to the General Manager Sales & Marketing, you will use your excellent selling and relationship building skills to capitalize on new business development opportunities. You will be responsible for formulatingbusiness development and sales strategies, implementing sales methodologies,managing a pipeline, forecasting revenuesand maintaining key customer relationships.
Responsibilities as a BDM:

Prospect, qualify, propose, negotiate and close deals to establish profitable new accounts

Build credible and lasting relationships with prospects and customers for repeat business
-
Develop and implement new business initiatives, plans and strategies to support current marketing initiatives and increase revenue.

Deliver and exceed set KPIs and targets
-
Follow up thoroughly on each client commitment
As a successful BDM you will possess:
-
Minimum 5 years B2B sales experience preferably within the Direct Mail / Printing / Publishing / Data Management industries

At least 3 years demonstrated experience in Business Development in an Account Management role.

Relevant Tertiary qualification preferred ( Marketing or IT will be an advantage )

Solid ability to canvass new business and be a decisive negotiator

A results orientation and the ability to demonstrate bottom line impact

Ability to effectively analyse sales data & devise revenue building plans & strategies

Outstanding persuasive and influencing skills
-
Working closely with the Sales Team, you will need to be a team player

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
